DelveWright
DelveWright is my game, made under my own studio CindieForge and built in Godot on twelve of the SELOdev no-code packs: save/load, stats and skill trees, combat, crafting, achievements, dialogue, audio, cinematic visuals, and the four combat VFX packs. You explore The Below in first person, then snap into pure menu battles, and you bank your loot or gamble it diving deeper. It took about two months, solo, and it comes to Steam on November 3, 2026 for Windows and Linux.
Client: CindieForge · Timeline: 2026 · Role: Solo developer, design, code, systems integration
Stack: Godot, GDScript, SELODEV system packs, Built on SELODEV packs, Twelve systems, no glue code, Two months, solo
Problem
- Ship a real commercial game on the drop-in SELOdev packs, proving they hold up outside isolated demos and Lite samples.
- Build a full first-person dungeon crawler with turn-based JRPG combat, solo, without re-coding save, progression, combat, crafting, dialogue, and effects from scratch.
Approach
- Built the whole game solo in about two months by treating the packs as the engine and writing only what is specific to DelveWright: the floors, the enemies, the loot banking, the town.
- Dropped in twelve of the packs as-is: Save/Load for run, setting, and unlock persistence, Stats/Skill Trees for leveling and modifier stacking, Combat for the damage, resistance, and crit model behind every hit, and the Crafting pack driving the Smith's blade upgrades.
- Wired story and feedback from the same catalog: branching Dialogue gated on flags and items, the Audio pack for the explore-to-combat music crossfade, Achievements for cross-run unlocks, and AAA Visuals for the scene-wide cinematic grade.
- Layered combat with the four VFX packs, buff pickups, elemental impacts, explosions, and spell casts, across dozens of integration points in battle, all drag-and-drop with no custom effects code.
Results
- Twelve of the system packs sold here power the game directly, with no custom save serialization, damage model, crafting logic, or effects code written for those layers.
- A complete first-person dungeon crawler with turn-based JRPG combat, built solo in about two months and coming to Steam on November 3, 2026 for Windows and Linux.
- Living proof for the storefront: every tagged pack links back to a game it actually runs in.
What you can verify
- A whole game rather than a screenshot reel, running the exact packs sold on the store.
- Twelve packs integrated end-to-end: save, stats, combat, crafting, dialogue, audio, achievements, visuals, and four VFX suites.
- Each of those twelve packs on the /tools page reverse-links to DelveWright, so you can see what it runs in before you buy.
